Cultural Event of the Summer!

Some people go to the symphony some to the ballet others to musicals but around here we get our culture in a much more practical and budget friendly way!

DEMOLITION DERBY!!!!

I've been to many derby's before but I will say Spanish Fork has hands down the best derby that I have been to.

This Beast made those Mary K caddies look like sissy cars.

Look at the satisfaction on their faces!

Some day I'll be out there bashing away in my own car. As for now I'll just instill in my boy a little bit of red neck.

Sleep - Eating

They're Home!!!!!!

Yippee! I am soooo happy to have my parents home. It was a very exciting day. I could not believe how happy Davis and Dallin were to have Grandma and Grandpa home too. Davis worked very hard on the sign and we even checked him out of school to go to the airport!

Jack and I met them first because we were taking rides on the escalator! Check out the tears on my mom.

Group photo!

Davis had to try on every single necklace my parents brought home.

Grandpa showing off his new toy.

Jumping right back in to being Grandpa!

Davis turns the big 9

Davis decided to do his birthday at home this year because he wanted to invite so many friends. He was into the castle Lego sets at the time, so he wanted everyone to come over and play Legos and he and his Dad built a catapult for candy tossing and we watched the Tale of Despereaux. All of the boys were so good and they seemed to have a good time!

This is the awesome catapult! It looks a lot cooler than it actually was. It was flinging the candy funny so we ended up throwing most of it!

All the boys showing their loot.

Mark also decorated the birthday cake. Who needs a cake that says happy birthday when you can have a war scene on it.

Blowing out the candles.

Playing with Legos.

Jack didn't know quite what to do because he wasn't the center of attention, so he climbed right in the Lego bin so everyone had to pay attention!

24th of July

That is right. I am blogging about the 24th of July in October. Blogging is such a chore...

We took the boys down to the little 24th of July celebration in Provo and then we had a BBQ with Mark's family in our front yard!

Oquirrh Mountain Utah

I know I am a little behind, but better late than never!

As a family we went to the open house for the Oquirrh Mountain temple. The temple was beautiful and the boys were so good!

Boy's Day at Kenecott

Jack loved the bus ride (mostly because he didn't have to be straped into his car seat)

Quite the large bucket

This is the newest of the new! The boys at Catapillar told Kenecott that they could build a truck that they couldn't break. Here it is they finished the touchup paint the night before. (It makes Davis's tonka truck look like nothing, not to mention Us standing in front of it)

This picture doesn't do the haul truck justice the fire truck is about 50' away.

Davis in the driver seat scarry!

Even the might D11 Cat thought about stopping for Davis ( He's just over 4' tall)

I think this could push something around.
