More presents!

My parents sent us some money for Christmas all the way from Easter Island. They really shouldn't have, but we were sure happy to have it! We let the boys pick out a present. Davis combined money from their present and Aunt Betsy's present to buy his really awesome helicopter and we let Jack play with a bunch of toys in the isle and the drum was the one he laughed the most at! It was like Christmas all over again.

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas! We had a great Christmas this year. It was so fun having the two boys open presents together.

Jack with some of his loot!

This was one of Davis's favorite presents!

Mark loves his new workboots. He is trying out a new kind for the year. Hopefully they last as long as his last pair!

I think Jack enjoyed his first Christmas!

It was Lego heaven at our house on Christmas morning.

Christmas Eve with the Petersen's!

Grandma and Grandpa Petersen had another successful Christmas Eve party! As always they did way to much for everyone, but it was so much fun. The kids love all the presents. We got a whole bunch of food storage and it was like Christmas all over again when I took everything out of the box and loaded our shelves!
Doesn't Jack look like he is having a great time and we didn't even have to take his clothes off!

Grandma made stuffed animals for all the kids and Davis looooved his turtle!

Mike and Mark bought this long piece of trim because for Christmas they were going to help Mom and Dad a wood floor in their entry way. I will take a picture next time I go over, it looks fabulous!

Katelyn is showing off her new bracelet!

Suzy entertaining Jack, giving Mom and Dad a break!

How cute are these cheesers! They weren't even showing off presents, they just wanted to show off the irresistible smiles!

Jonathan loves his new stuffed animal! Note Mikes awesome face in the background. I think he is a little jealous. Maybe Grandma should make him one too!

Leatham Family Christmas Party

This year my fabulous sister-in-law hosted the Leatham Christmas party. Here is Jack and Davis at the Christmas party. We had yummy soup and bread and plenty of desert! The kids did a gift exchange and the adults did a white elephant with their favorite candy!

We were trying to keep Jack happy at his bed time, so of course we took his clothes off. Next to him is his cute cousin Samantha. They played so good together.

Jack's new smile

Add VideoMark was able to catch Jack's new squishy face smile on video. You will just have to watch it sideways if you want to see it!

Santa!

We did finally make it to see Santa right before Christmas. The best part was, there was no line! I was trying to make sure the boys were festive and had Jack in red and sent Davis to put something red on and he came out with a baseball cap! Boys are so funny, but it was red so I couldn't complain.

This is the picture with Jack looking at the camera.

One big baby!

This is Jack holding his handy work! My arm had been hurting for a while and finally after two months I went to the doctor. Holding my fat baby had given me Tendinitis. I had to get a steroid shot into the Tendon and then I had to wear that brace and partial cast for a week. I did everything the doctor told me and my arm is 100%. Plus I hold Jack a little differently now so hopefully it won't come back!

Sunday Morning

We had extra time on Sunday morning, which doesn't happen very often, so we decided to give Jack another hair cut.

Handsome little devil!
Davis was sick and fell asleep right in the middle of the living room floor. Poor guy....
This is Jack's new favorite toy!

Ward Christmas Party

This year our family actually got ready and out of the house early enough to attend the ward Christmas breakfast. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the delicious crepes. Davis didn't know you could have chocolate pudding and whip cream for breakfast and boy was he excited! The primary did a song and below is a little clip. The picture is a little blurry and Jack is yelling in the background, but I am posting it because it was the only picture I got of Davis. He was to busy running around with his buddies! Just look for the red hat to find Davis.

Cowboy Jack

Mark bought some cowboy hats for a white elephant gift. I will leave out what went with the rest of the gift, but Jack loved the hat, not when it was on his head, he mostly liked it when it was in his mouth!

Happy Thankgiving

Thanksgiving has to be the best holiday of the year! You get to spend time with your family, eat tons of good food and you don't even have to buy presents! I am usually so much better at taking pictures on Holidays, but I was a pretty big slacker this year. I only had the pictures of the boys before we left the house for all of the festivities. We had a really great Thanksgiving. The only thing missing was my wonderful parents. We were lucky enough to have two Thanksgiving dinners one with Mark's family and one with my family. Both of the boys were so good and Davis even said the big Thanksgiving prayer at my families dinner! Mark and I have so much to be thankful for this year it is nice to have time to reflect on all God has given us!

We also cooked our own turkey at home so we could have leftovers. Mark was very proud and wanted me to take a picture of our delicious turkey!

A very talented husband!

So, everyone probably already knows this, but my husband is oozing with many talents. This is just one of the many reasons I married him. I have none and he has many, so it works out perfectly! Mark picked up this side job to help out and I thought it was pretty cool. He built the wood porch so there wouldn't be any ice or snow in front of the door for this older couple that lives up in Woodland hills. I guess they wanted something on their house to fit in with the forest they live in the middle of!

My Sweet Grandmother!

I just want to say that my grandmother is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I absolutely adore her. We have been very blessed to live close to my grandparents, so our kids can get to know them too. She hasn't been doing very well recently and we have been visiting her a lot. Jack always puts on a show with his loud voice and giggles, and Davis showed her his rock collection for scouts and then sang her some songs from his Thanksgiving Day program at school!

Yard Work!

Mark was taking advantage of the warm fall weather and trying to bury some of the sprinklers he was able to get in. He was being very patient with Davis who was supposed to be learning and helping, but instead he was being eight!

Jack was supervising the project and boy can he yell.

We finally polished the turd!

The poo has turned blue. (A quote by Mark Petersen!) The house is almost finished being painted. It just needs a few touch ups and some gray paint for the gables. The colored turned out pretty great and now I never drive past our house because I didn't see it!

I just want to point out our fancy new drive way! Yep there will be no more mudding for me in the spring! Hopefully the dirt level in the house goes down also.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween. I know more Halloween pictures. We can't help it, Halloween is our second favorite Holiday. Plus if you have to put work and money into Halloween costumes you might as well let the kids wear them as much as possible. If only we had the same mentality for wedding dresses.....

We went trunk or treating with our ward this year and it was fabulous. I am a big fan. I know some people hate it, but those people must not have children. We do leave a big bowl of candy on our front porch for those who chose to go door to door. We don't ever get trick or treaters, but I keep thinking someone will get smart and come over and dump the whole bowl into their bag!

This is Davis and Ethan. They were both pretty excited that they were Indiana Jones!

Ethan, Davis and Noah having a great time making multiple rounds around to all the cars! I was very grateful the kids were going around to the cars more than once. We had way to much candy and I was staring to give handfuls to get rid of it!

My Beautiful sister Hilary and her awesome son
Iron Man!

Mark and the bumble bee.

My sister and I passing out candy to all of the fabulous kids. Yep, I am wearing flip flops and a winter coat. Go figure!

Halloween Parade

Davis's school did a big Halloween parade. Davis was so excited to dress up for school. He was even telling me that he made sure not to run around on the grass at recess, so he didn't get grass stains on his Indiana Jones' pants.

This is Davis with his fantastic teacher Mrs. Flake. For anyone who has a kid going into 3rd grade I highly recommend her!

The whole class!
