So, we are now working on the outside of the money pit. (I say we, but I really mean Mark!) Mark scraped all of the poop brown stucco off of the house to expose the brick. Then he took the pressure washer to it. It is amazing what water can do!
Mark was filthy when he was done. What a trooper!
This is the back porch all cleaned up. Picture the barbecues we will have........
This is the front of the house. Now Mark is working on repairing the windows and filling in cracks. Maybe our Gas bill won't be so outrageous this winter! When he is finished with that we are going to paint, yippee!!! I wanted a white house with black shutters, but Mark says there are too may houses on Geneva Road that are white. He has been going back and forth between a bluish/gray color or yellow. Because he is doing all the work I think I will let him choose! I will just be happy when it looks a little less white trash!

Mark has worked so dang hard on your house, and it absolutely shows! It will look awesome no matter what color you paint it. (Well, maybe not hot pink or something, but you know what I mean.)
Hey! Just discovered you guys have a cute fun blog too! Good luck on all the hard work. Your house is beautiful though. I agree with Nat that any color will look terrific. I have admired your talent to look at something rough and in need of repair and create something amazing. It really is a talent.

Wow! Mark has worked so hard. I have seen him out there many many times. I am really excited for you both because you will be so happy when you are finished and it will be beautiful. I think White sounded really good, but yellow would be good too! I like them both and the black shutters will be gorgeous. I can't wait to see the finished product. :)
