Boy Scouts!

Davis had his first pack meeting yesterday! We had such a good time. The scout leaders are saints. I cannot believe how crazy it is with all of the boys together at once. It was so noisy outside, I can't imagine what it will be like when it is cold and they all have to be inside! Davis is so excited to be in scouts and the program is so perfect for little boys. Davis earned his bicycling and weather belt loops. (Notice Davis's face. Much to his dismay his bite marks are slowly disappearing. He has tried to convince me not to put stuff on it so he can show it off in the future. he is such a boy!)

First Haircut

We finally got around to giving Jack his first haircut. His new hair is coming in lighter than his existing hair and it was making him look like he had bald spots. Our first attempt was with scissors, and yes we posed him for this picture! Scissors do not work very well on a baby who is still learning to hold his head up. He bobs too much still. So, we put a 5 on the clippers and buzzed a way. Jack was so good, I think he liked the vibration on his head. Then we finished up with the little trimmer and he was looking good!

Happy Birthday Davis

On Tuesday August 12th Davis turned the big 8! He wanted to go rock climbing for his birthday so we let him invite 3 friends and we took them to the rock quarry. It turned out great. I think all of the boys had a great time and Davis was a natural.

The dog bite

So, Davis came back from his Bio's house at 10:00 on Monday night with his face looking like this. Davis got attacked by a killer Cocker Spaniel at his Aunt's house. I took him to the doctor the next day to make sure he was OK and had all his shots. The doctor said he should have had stitches but since it had been 24 hours they couldn't do anything and it will leave a pretty good scar. I am going to try some of the new scar products out there. I will let everyone know if anything works wonders. Good thing Davis is a boy and things like that make them look tough!

Lagoon Day

On Friday we went to Lagoon courtesy of Mark's work. They even gave the grown ups t-shirts to wear. Davis got a little jealous so we dug out the summer reading shirts from the library so the whole family could be the same. Pretty cheesy, but it was worth the smile that it put on Davis's face. It was soooo hot, so as you can see in the pictures we had to change Jack into a cooler outfit. He couldn't get wet on the awesome rides like his dad and brother. We had a great time, but we decided next year we are going to get a babysitter for Jack and bring a friend for Davis. That combination will equal hours of entertainment! The first ride I will go on next year is Wicked. I attached a picture, so you can see how fun it looks.

Go Owlz!!!

We went to the Owlz game on Thursday with Mark's family. We had a great time and hope it becomes a summer tradition. Davis made sure that before we went he had his baseball cap. Ethan and Davis tried very hard to catch a foul ball, but they had to settle for the promotional plastic balls we received at the entrance! Jack just sacked out like usual. Thank heavens Amy brought a camera or we would have no pictures, she also brought the treats. Man you would think I didn't have any kids....

Tubby Time

So, Jack was having the regular new born issues at his two month appointment, baby acne and cradle cap. (Luckily it started after the blessing.) Anyway, our doctor told us to get Selsun Blue and put it on his scalp and face and leave it on for five minutes. It worked like a gem for the cradle cap and for the acne on his forhead, but it is hard to keep it on his face when he is splashing about. Anyway, I thought this might be useful info to those who have babies!!!

Yes we're a little bit Red Neck

This is a great way to relieve stress! We went out with everyone (Betsy, Fletch, Mark, Davis, Kelly, Suzy, Richard and Howard) to practice our quick shot. Man we really let those cans have it. The vidoes are from a previous gun day with the boys. Mark wanted my dad to see the vidoes down in Chili. He would be so proud!

Here is what it would look like to be a bank teller that is dealing with a customer that is going postal.

The fist shots are Fletch shooting his .357 with 38 specials, The second is Dan's SIG .40 wolloping the glass, and last is Davis shooting Big Mike's 5 7

This is me shooting the SIG .40

Kelly man handling some cans. I wouldn't recommend breaking in at night she's a pretty good shot.

Seven Peaks

We finally made it to Seven Peaks this summer. It is a lot harder to do things with a newborn, but we did make it. Mark and I just took turns holding the baby in the shade. Davis and Dallin(Davis's cousin) had a good time, but the lines were way to long. Note to those going, I would recommend going on a Tuesday and don't go on the regular slides that don't take tubes. You will end up pushing yourself down and wondering if it is because you are to heavy........

Jack's Blessing Day

Here are a few pictures from Jack's special day. He was so good for the blessing. He was wide awake and didn't even need his binky!
